WWW Wednesday – 6/8

It’s WWW Wednesday, a weekly reading meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.  To participate, answer the three w’s and link up with Sam’s masterpost.  No blog?  Leave your answers in the comments section.

The three w’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished?
What will you read next?

Currently Reading: Still plugging away at my reread of Dust of Dreams by Steven Erikson.  I’m rapidly approaching my least favorite scene in the entire series, but I’ll probably just skip it this time around.
I’ve decided to not get Aaron Hartzler’s What We Saw back from the library just yet.  I’m burned out on YA lit (again) right now, and I don’t think I’d be able to give his book a fair shake at the moment.  So I’ll wait a few months and then just start it all over again.

Recently Finished: I finished two books this week: Zodiac by Romina Russell and Whispers Under Ground by Ben Aaronovitch.  Both reviews are up, although Zodiac is part of the most recent YA Blitz Review post from Monday.

Reading Next: I don’t even know anymore.  We’ll see if my hold on A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas comes in.  If not… I’ll try and pull out a book that’ll count towards my When Are You Reading? Challenge.  Anything but more YA (unless it’s ACoMaF).

  1. I agreed with your verdict on Whispers Underground and, in fact, your verdict on the entire Peter Grant series. If it’s an incentive to keep going, I think Peter’s observations on the female form decrease in number. I think. It’s either that or I’ve stopped noticing them! 🙂 Entertaining enough but not something you’d re-read.

I hope your hold on ACOMAF comes in 🙂 I’d say SJ Maas has crossed from YA to NA with this book though…

The instances do seem to be (slowly) going down. I can only hope the trend continues. And thanks for the heads up about ACoMaF. I read your review about it so I’m prepared (I think) for the length and for it being 2 of 3.
Thanks for visiting and happy reading!
