WWW Wednesday – 10/5

It’s WWW Wednesday, a weekly reading meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.  To participate, answer the three w’s and link up with Sam’s masterpost.  No blog?  Leave your answers in the comments section.

The three w’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished?
What will you read next?

Currently Reading: Still working on Sparrow Hill by Seanan McGuire – not much progress since I put it aside to finish up two other books.
I started Blood Follows by Steven Erikson, the novella next up in my epic Malazan (re-)Read.  Not too far into it, but Bauchelain and Korbal Broach are two ‘fun’ characters and it’s nice to see some adventures where they succeed rather than in the main series when they come off poorly against heroic characters who know how to handle them.

Recently Finished: Two books this week!  Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas and Cetaganda by Lois McMaster Bujold.  Both reviews are up, and both books were enjoyable but not perfect.

Reading Next: I really want to focus on getting through Sparrow Hill, but my next scheduled book is Ethan of Athos by Lois McMaster Bujold.  It is technically an entry in the Vorkosigan Saga, but it doesn’t feature any members of that clan, as far as I can tell, so hopefully I’ll enjoy another break from Lord Miles.

I tend to put books aside to finish others a lot! You’ll get back to them eventually, right? Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
