It’s WWW Wednesday, a weekly reading meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. To participate, answer the three w’s and link up with Sam’s masterpost. No blog? Leave your answers in the comments section.
The three w’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished?
What will you read next?
Currently Reading: I started The Lees of Laughter’s End by Steven Erikson, the second Bauchelain and Korbal Broach novella, in the spirit of October – what could be spookier than following the tales of a pair of (evil) necromancers? It’s also the next up in my Epic Malazan (Re)Read, so there’s that, too.
My ILL request for Pocket Apocalypse by Seanan McGuire came in, and so far it’s proving as good as the others in the InCryptid series.
Recently Finished: Two books this week: Blood Follows by Steven Erikson and Sparrow Hill Road by Seanan McGuire. The reviews are both up.
Reading Next: Next up will be Ethan of Athos by Lois McMaster Bujold, the next book in the Vorkosigan Saga (and thankfully one not apparently centered around Miles; it seems I could use a bit longer of a break from him).
Spooky reads around this time are the best so evil necromancers sounds in season to me. Enjoy. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
It’s been great, especially with the dark humor mingled in, and thankfully not so gory that I can’t sleep.
Thanks for hosting and happy reading!
I really should read something by Steven Erikson soon… Gardens Of The Moon has been on my wishlist for ages, but somehow I have never actually bought a copy so far. Happy reading!
Just keep in mind that it’s an investment – unless you don’t like it and choose not to continue, of course. But if you plunge in and ever want to talk about it, I’m here. 🙂
Happy reading!
