I know, I know – I promised to be better about these this year. I’m trying.
It’s WWW Wednesday, a weekly reading meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. To participate, answer the three w’s and link up with Sam’s masterpost. No blog? Leave your answers in the comments section.
The three w’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished?
What will you read next?
Currently Reading: I will admit it: I have walked away from Forge of Darkness by Steven Erikson yet again. I plan to get back to it during my travels next week – hopefully having to sit in one place with limited entertainment will help my focus.
Recently Finished: Since it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, I’m just going to mention the last two books I read: Villains by Necessity by Eve Forward (very misleading title; HEROES by Necessity would be more fitting, I’d argue) and Raven Stratagem by Yoon Ha Lee. Both were entertaining in their own way, although Raven Stratagem was the one I liked (much) better. I also recently read the script The Devil’s Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith by Angelo Parra, the show I’m working on next.
Reading Next: Do you know that feeling where a book you’ve been waiting for comes in? I love that feeling. My next book will be Beneath the Sugar Sky (Wayward Children #3) by Seanan McGuire – and I’m expecting to love it as much as I loved the other novellas in this series.
What are you reading this week?
I’m traveling next week as well! I hope you have an enjoyable journey. I’m not sure how much down time I’ll have but I hope to finish a book. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
Thank you! I will have, at the very least, a couple of plane rides. Hopefully the turbulence will be light enough for me to focus on reading.
Happy reading!
I just landed at my destination and I finished a book! I hope you get as much reading done!
Thank you! Congrats on finishing one already!
