WWW Wednesday – 7/18 (late)

Whoops, I’m a couple days late with this due to losing track of days of the week!  But I still remembered before the week ended!

It’s WWW Wednesday, a weekly reading meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.  To participate, answer the three w’s and link up with Sam’s masterpost.  No blog?  Leave your answers in the comments section.

The three w’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished?
What will you read next?

Currently Reading: I’m almost done with my reread of Blood Song by Anthony Ryan and it is absolutely just as good as I remembered it being.  I’d also forgotten a good portion of it, so it’s definitely a good thing I’m rereading it before moving on to Tower Lord.
I’m making slow progress with Deadhouse Landing by Ian C. Esslemont, my current Malazan read, due to focusing so much on Blood Song.  But so long as I’m making some progress I’ll count it well done!

Recently Finished: I finished my reread of Meet Your Baker by Ellie Alexander and found that I remembered all of it, so I probably could have just moved on to book 2, but it was still a cute little breezy read, although I think I found Jules less sympathetic this time around.
I also finished Wind Rider’s Oath by David Weber.  Turns out this was a reread, despite my prior thinking, so it’s only the next two books in the series that I haven’t read.

Reading Next: I’m moving on to War Maid’s Choice by David Weber now that I’ve reminded myself where I left the series.  I still need to get my hands on The Shadow Hour by Melissa Grey and I’m waiting for A Batter of Life and Death by Ellie Alexander to come into my library so I can read that one.  I’ve also currently got one other book out from the library: Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs.  Since that’s a new book, I need to get to it right quick.  And, finally, Tower Lord by Anthony Ryan is going to be my next ‘heavy’ book, although I’m probably not going to be able to stop myself from diving right in once I get my hands on it.

Phew, that’s a long list of ‘next up’!

What are you reading this week?
