WWW Wednesday – 5/16

Um, yeah.  I have no excuse.  Other than, again, knee injury and a lack of motivation to do much of anything (other than work and PT).

It’s WWW Wednesday, a weekly reading meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.  To participate, answer the three w’s and link up with Sam’s masterpost.  No blog?  Leave your answers in the comments section.

The three w’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished?
What will you read next?

Currently Reading: I walk away from and come back to Forge of Darkness by Steven Erikson so much that I’m not even going to begin to guess when I’ll finish it.  Especially since the dark/unhappy/doomed-from-the-beginning tone is really not helping my mental state.
I’m mainly focusing on Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang, my book club’s pick for the month.  I’ve got exactly one week to get through it.

Recently Finished: If by ‘recent’ you mean the past month since the last time I posted one of these, I’ve gotten through Address Unknown by Kathrine Kressman Taylor, Randoms by David Liss, and The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown.  The first two reviews are up, third one pending.

Reading Next: Not sure.  Really, really not sure.  Something happy, probably.

I hope the rest of you are doing better than me.

I’ve heard a lot about The Boys in the Boat. I hope you enjoyed it! Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

It was very good! I highly recommend it if you have the time, especially since you’re an Erik Larson fan – I felt like Brown’s style is similar to his with the way he gives you big picture to help set the microcosm stories.
