In an effort to encourage myself to post more on this blog, I’m going to try a reading challenge and post reviews for the books I read that fulfill it. SamAnnElizabeth’s When Are You Reading? Challenge sounds like a lot of fun, and a way to press myself outside of what I usually read. So, the challenge: The eras:
- Pre-1500 –
- 1500-1599 – Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel
- 1600-1699
- 1700-1799
- 1800-1899 – Soulless by Gail Carriger
- 1900-1919
- 1920-1939 – The Girls at the Kingfisher Club by Genevieve Valentine (Review Pending)
- 1940-1959 – The Kommandant’s Mistress by Sherri Szeman
- 1960-1979 – Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee (Review Pending)
- 1980-1999
- 2000-Present – The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith
- The Future – Darkover Landfall by Marion Zimmer Bradley
I’ll link back here as I fulfill the challenge, and if anyone’s interested, head over to Sam’s page (link at the top)!
So glad you’re joining in! I’ll add a link to this page on the challenge page. Good luck! Let me know if you need any suggestions for certain eras. 🙂
